1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing listings, buying cards, or selling items on Sunny Boy Cards, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
2. Authenticity and Anti-Counterfeit Policy
Sunny Boy Cards maintains a zero-tolerance policy against counterfeit, proxy, unauthentic, or forged cards:
- All physical trading cards listed must be authentic, officially licensed products produced by The Pokémon Company International / Nintendo.
- All digital code cards must be unredeemed and valid.
- Knowingly listing fake or counterfeit cards will result in immediate permanent account suspension and forfeiture of escrow funds.
3. Card Condition Grading Standards
Sellers must accurately classify their cards according to our standard condition definitions:
Near Mint (NM):
Minimal to no wear. No visible surface scratches, bends, or whitening.
Lightly Played (LP):
Minor edge wear or subtle surface scuffs. No creases or structural defects.
Moderately Played (MP):
Noticeable edge wear, light creasing, or minor surface whitening.
Heavily Played / Damaged (HP/DMG):
Major creases, bends, tears, water damage, or ink markings.
4. Escrow System and Order Completion
For buyer security, payment for physical card orders is held in automated escrow:
- Sellers are expected to ship orders within 3 business days and provide valid carrier tracking.
- Funds are released to the seller once the buyer confirms satisfactory delivery, or automatically 5 days after carrier delivery confirmation if no dispute is opened.

5. Digital Code Redemption Cards
Digital redemption codes (e.g. Pokémon TCG Live) are unredeemed virtual goods. Due to the instant delivery nature of digital codes, all digital code sales are final upon delivery unless the code is proven to be already redeemed prior to sale.
6. Taxes, Fees, and Payouts (Oh my!)
We know, nobody likes taxes and fees, but they’re a reality of running a business. We aim to be as transparent as possible about them. Here’s what you can expect:
- Sunny Boy Cards charges a competitive 5% marketplace commission on all completed orders.
- Purchases made using a credit or debit card are subject to a Stripe's processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30. For orders with multiple sellers, the $0.30 is split proportionlly between them.
- Purchases made using wallet funds (Sunny Boy Balance) are not subject to Stripe's processing fees.
- All transactions are subject to sales tax at the time of the transaction based on the buyer's location and currency. These will be reflected in the order details.
- Payouts are distributed via Stripe Connect. Stripe Connect charges $2 per month that you have a payout. There is also a $0.25 + 0.25% Stripe fee on each payout.
