Frequently Asked Questions

Find instant answers to common questions about buying, selling, escrow security, digital codes, and shipping.
When you purchase cards on Sunny Boy Cards, your payment is placed into secure escrow. The seller only receives payout once you receive the package, inspect its condition, and confirm delivery (or 5 days after postal carrier delivery confirmation if no dispute is raised).
All sellers are required to adhere to strict protective packaging guidelines: individual cards must be placed in a soft penny sleeve, inside a rigid top loader or semi-rigid card saver.
Digital code cards for Pokémon TCG Live are fulfilled instantly. As soon as your checkout completes, the redemption codes are revealed on your order confirmation screen and saved directly in your Orders & Purchases "Digital & Code Cards" tab with instant copy-paste functionality.
Click "Become a Seller" in the navigation bar. You will complete a brief onboarding via Stripe Identity & Connect. Once approved, you can start listing cards from our database of over 23,000 official Pokémon cards immediately.
We charge a transparent, flat 5% marketplace commission on completed transactions. There are zero listing fees, zero subscription fees, and no hidden charges. Credit and debit card transactions are subject to a 2.9% + $0.30 fee. However, when a buyer purchases from multiple sellers, we don't pocket $0.30 from every seller. Instead, it's split proportionally between all sellers in that buyer's cart. You can read more about our fee structure in the seller handbook.
If an item arrives damaged, you must open a case within 48 hours of delivery confirmation. We recommend filming the unboxing process to provide as evidence of damage. Sellers are responsible for packaging their items securely, but accidents happen, and we will work with both parties to resolve the situation. Buyers with a history of opening cases for damaged items will be subject to review.
If an item arrives not as described, you must open a case within 48 hours of delivery confirmation. We recommend filming the unboxing process to provide as evidence. Sellers are responsible for listing their items accurately. Buyers with a history of opening cases for items not as described will be subject to review.
If an item arrives counterfeit, you must open a case within 48 hours of delivery confirmation. We recommend filming the unboxing process to provide as evidence. Sellers are responsible for listing their items accurately and will be permanently banned from the platform. Buyers with a history of opening cases for counterfeit items will be subject to review.
If your card never arrives, you must open a case within 48 hours of the estimated delivery date. We will work with you to resolve the situation. Buyers with a history of opening cases for missing items will be subject to review.
Buyers with high incident rates will be flagged for admin review. Buyers may be subject to account suspension or permanent address bans for opening fraudulent cases.
Once the buyer confirms delivery, the escrow funds are automatically released to your Sunny Boy Cards seller balance and disbursed via Stripe Connect. Refer to your Settings page to review your personalized payout schedule and fees. Sellers are responsible for any and all fees incurred by Stripe. You can learn more in the seller handbook.
