Trading card games are more than just cardboard, they represent nostalgia, competitive strategy, artistic mastery, and vibrant global communities. However, navigating unpredictable fees, unverified sellers, and delayed shipping on legacy platforms often took the joy out of the hobby.
Inspired by our late parrot, Sunny, we built Sunny Boy Cards to disrupt the current TCG ecosystem. He loved to break the rules and so do we. There are countless other marketplaces and collection trackers out there. But they all have one thing in common: their goal is to squeeze you for as much as they possibly can, and then some. Whether it's listing fees, subscription fees, payment processing fees, shipping fees, or hidden fees of any kind, they all have a hand in your pocket.
With our unique internal wallet system, we're able to keep seller fees to a minimum. There is a 5% commission on all sales. All credit and debit card purchases are subject to a standard 2.9% + $0.30 fee. However, what makes us stand out is that when a buyer purchases from multiple sellers, we don't pocket $0.30 from all of them. Instead, it's split proportionally between all sellers in that buyer's cart. You can read more about our fee structure in the seller handbook.
We also have smarter shipping calculations. It's not uncommon to sell a stack of 100 cards under $0.03 each. As a buyer fills their cart with more cards from your shop, shipping costs are dynamically calculated to protect you from losing money on sales when you can no longer ship cards in an envelope.
